ChildServe will be hosting a special week-long celebration for children on Monday, Dec. 5 – Friday, Dec. 9. Here’s a look at the holiday events kids will get to enjoy at our ChildServe locations:

Monday: Winter Wonderland Day. Craft stations will be set up at the Ames Welcome Center (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) and Johnston Welcome Center A (3:30 – 5:30 p.m.) where children can create cut-out snowflakes they can take home. Supplies will also be distributed to the Johnston and Ames childcares and Woodland Center. Candy canes will also be available.

Tuesday: Hot Chocolate Day. Hot chocolate and various toppings will be served free of charge at the Johnston Welcome Center A (3 – 4:30 p.m.) and the Ames Welcome Center (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.). The Ames and Johnston childcares and Woodland Center will also participate during afternoon snacktime.

Wednesday: Special Kids Day. Celebrate the holiday with some of your favorite characters! Santa, Mrs. Claus, the elves and the gingerbread men may all make appearances at Johnston Welcome Center A (3:30 – 5:30 p.m.), Ames Welcome Center (3 – 4:30 p.m.), Johnston Childcare (9:45 – 11:15 a.m.), Woodland Center (2 – 3:30 p.m.), and TCU/CCU (1:30 – 3 p.m.) and mingle with the children.

Thursday: Cookie Decoration Day. Cookie decorating stations will be set up at the Johnston Welcome Center A (3:30 – 5:30 p.m.) and the Ames Welcome Center (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) for children and their siblings. The Ames and Johnston childcares and Woodland Center will also participate during afternoon snacktime.

Friday: Ornament Day. Children may decorate a holiday ornament to take home. Supplies will be delivered to the Ames and Johnston childcare centers and Woodland Center.
